Bryn Mawr Hospital's New Inpatient Unit

The new two-floor inpatient psychiatric unit accommodates twice as many patients across 40 private patient rooms in a stunning new space that is four times the size of our former unit. This physical expansion also mirrors our broadened treatment capabilities: now including specific modalities for patients with a dual diagnosis of both substance use and mental health needs, as well as enhanced care for patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical needs.

Between 2018 and 2021

More than 300 Main Line Health benefactors joined together in the spirit of philanthropic generosity to support the first system-wide capital campaign effort in MLH history.

The Seeing Through Capital Campaign came at a time of unprecedented need, with a global pandemic further worsening an existing crisis of unmet mental health needs, both locally and across the nation.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the donors from across the Main Line Health family, who together raised more than $11 million in support of the $35 million expansion and transformation of behavioral health inpatient services offered at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
